After earning his Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Iowa, Dr. Chu entered into neurology residency training at Duke University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina. During his residency, Dr. Chu was a chief resident and also completed advanced elective training in sleep medicine and electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center. He then participated in rigorous fellowship training in neuromuscular diseases and EMG (electromyography) at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Chu is board-certified in neurology, neuromuscular medicine, sleep medicine, and electrodiagnostic medicine. Dr. Chu is a neuromuscular and EMG specialist. Electromyography (EMG) gives your doctor essential information about the health and function of your nerves and muscles. With fellowship training at Harvard University, Dr. Chu is one of the few physicians in the Houston area with special expertise in electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular medicine.
